In a significant event that represents a qualitative addition to the Omani financial scene, the inauguration ceremony of the Sultanate of Oman branch of the Association of Financial Markets (ACI FMA) was held, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Nasser Al-Maawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, and in the presence of members of the Board of Directors, under the supervision of the College of Banking and Financial Studies, so that the Omani branch becomes part of a prestigious global network whose roots extend back to 1955.

Who are we? And what do we represent?

The Association of Financial Markets (ACI FMA) is a leading global, non-profit organization, founded in 1955 to represent the interests of those working in the wholesale financial markets. We focus primarily on establishing principles of ethical conduct and promoting best market practices to ensure integrity and transparency.

Our history is full of positive influence, as the “ACI Model Charter” was the standard for conduct in the markets, which paved the way for the launch of the “FX Global Code” in 2017, a charter to which we are committed and which we continually participate in developing.

Our vision and mission in Oman

Building on ACI's position as a global network, the Oman chapter aims to be the leading platform for financial market professionals. Our vision is centered on providing a fertile environment for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and information among members.
